Using different colours to make pictures

Here is three of the colourings that I coloured in using art colouring book. The site gave us an original picture coloured in and we changed it. It gave us a wide variety of colours to choose from to complete our pictures. It was a pretty easy task to complete, but you had to be creative with it. Thankyou Mr. Forrie for teaching us to be cybersmart!

Sentence styles :)

Different types of sentences is a must when writing a story, recount or and piece of writing. That's why we created this video, to teach you guys about different types of sentence styles. There are 12 different types but we decided to focus on 2 of them, the simple and the very short. When you always use the same sentence type your piece of writing will be boring and have no viritys, but when using lots of different sentences it will make the readers want to read it! Hope you enjoy watching our video that we made during manaiakalani!

Prime game!

This is a little prime slideshow that I came up with. We got set a task during manaiakalani to make a games using online tools to explain some of our prime book. Our prime books are one of our mathematical tools, we use them most days during our maths blocks. If you want you can play my prime game and learn about ratio, if you already know a bit about it then still play to refresh your memory. There is so much different maths in my prime book but I chose this because I thought it would be nice and easy to learn and explain. I hope you like it!!

Chicken vs World

This term, we have been visiting Tonui colab we completed the sessions after four weeks. We started off completing and trying out simple tasks then we moved onto more difficult work that needed thinking and patience. We worked with maki makis for two sessions and learned that it only takes energy to work. One of the sites we worked with to create an amazing game with makecode arcade, on there we selected lots of different codes to make our character move. Could you please give me some feedback on my game so that I can keep on improving my game. That app is completely free so you can jump on there and create your own masterpiece. After you have made your game you need to remember to save it and that button is down the bottom right, if you click it then save it to a folder on your device. We mostly worked in collaboration but sometimes we did it on our own, working collaboratively is a fun thing. Game development is a really fun thing to do and not very time consuming.

*Here is my game down below click on it and have a look!*

Copyright challenge

This is a task that we have completed about being safe and only using photos you have permission to use. We had a template to start off with, then we had to keep on building off it. This task was really fun. You have to use a part off google that has appropriate photos and that you have permission to use. Using people pictures when they haven't given you permission can get you in big trouble with the law. Thanks Mr forrie for teaching us to be cybersmart!!

Piskel Work

Lately during manaiakalani we have been using this site called piskel, piskel is a digital computer app that you can use to design characters with blocks.. To personalise the objects you can make the blocks smaller or larger and that changes the effect of it.Learning about lots of different learning tools and apps is so fun to do. I made a turtle but you can really just use your imagination to create! 😃😃

CyBeRsMaRt

This is a video that me and my friend made during manaiakalani, the point behind it was to teach kids and adults to look after their devices. When walking with your computer open there is chances that you could trip and drop it! Having a smashed computer wouldn't be good would it? From now on whenever you are walking you either need to leave you computer or walk with it shut and hold on with two hands!

Lockdown 2020 persuasive essay

As you all would know we are now in lockdown level 3. Since numbers have significantly dropped since about 2 - 3 weeks into lockdown the rules have been relaxed a little bit. The fact that you are able to expand your bubble but just add a couple more people to it is amazing!

With all of the borders shut with only slim exceptions for people to be able to come back into New Zealand from overseas there is a small chance that there is going to be any more big clusters! Personally I think that is an amazing idea and fully support Jacinda on that rule.

One thing that I don't fully agree with is the fact that fish and chip shops and most takeaway shops in New Zealand are open. Also including cafes, cake kitchens, and some butcheries. Me and my family don't agree with that because you are still in contact with the people that are supplying the food. Plus the people that are making everyone's food or drinks could be breathing or touching it.

Me and my family love going for a bike ride or a walk even just a play outside for a while to get some exercise. It is so good that everyone is allowed to get out of the house for a little bit every day to get some fresh air and some exercise. And now in level 3 you are allowed to get out and go for a drive to a place near to where you live! I enjoy it so much and so does many other people!

And those are my opinions about lockdown and how its working for me at the moment in level 3! I am just taking every day as it comes! I hope you enjoyed reading along to my thoughts about lockdown level 3.

Our Digital footprints

Lately, we have been learning about our digital footprints and how to keep ourselves safe when using the internet/being online with other people. When you post something you might to like, lots of people could see it and screenshot it and then have it for the rest of your life and they might choose to send it to people and when you think it's gone they still have it. So when you delete something that doesn't necessarily mean that it has disappeared forever because it will still be on the internet and that is a really scary thing, so be careful of what you post because it can haunt over you forever.
